Lisa Olivia Munn is a resident of Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and also has Chinese origins, however her father Winston Barrett Munn comes from the Southern part of the family. The couple split when she was only 2 years old. Her mother raised her as well as her stepfather who is a United States Air Force officer. The majority of her childhood was spent in Tokyo, Japan, even when the family moved frequently. When she was in Japan, she acted as an actor in local theater performances and then became an Japanese fashion model. As the family retreated back to the United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her aspirations of becoming a professional actress. Following a series of minor performances, Olivia achieved success after she was cast in the role of Mily Acua on the Hawaii filming of the TV show Beyond the Break 2006 and the role of receptionist for Rob Schneider. The show's host is "The Daily Nut", "Formula D" and "The Formula D Podcasts" on G4. She enjoys surfing and has been practising it ever since the television show Beyond the Break (2006). Additionally, she holds a black belt in taekwondo. At the age of two, her mother got married again however this time to the same US Air Force member. Though the family relocating many times throughout her life, she was raised at Tokyo, Japan, where the military stationed her stepfather. She attended the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a degree in journalism. She also minored in Japanese as well as dramatic arts.
