Lisa Olivia Munn is a born and raised in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid lived in Vietnam having Chinese ancestry while Winston Barrett Munn's clan has roots that go back to the American South. Her parents divorced when she was just two years old. She was raised by her mother as well as her stepfather who is a United States Air Force officer. While the family lived all over, her main home was Tokyo, Japan. During this time she was a part of several local theatre productions, and then was a model for the Japanese fashion business. Olivia was a model who relocated with her family to Los Angeles in order to achieve her dream of becoming an actress was determined to pursue her goal after the family moved back to America. After a few minor parts, Olivia landed a role after she was cast as Mily Acua in the Hawaii filming of the TV series Beyond the Break 2006 and the receptionist for Rob Schneider. She hosts "The Daily Nut" as well as the "Formula D" Podcasts on G4. Following the TV show Beyond the Break, she continues to browse. She is also a black-belt in taekwondo. At the age of two, her mom got married once more however this time to the same US Air Force member. Though the family had moved numerous times, the vast majority of her time was spent in Tokyo Japan, the location that her stepfather was employed by the military. She studied journalism at the University of Oklahoma and also studied Japanese drama, dramatic arts, and acting.
