Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American actor and singer is extremely famous. Her family was home-schooled by her mother, within the USA. She was subjected to racial taunts and being made to feel unwelcome. After she participated in an event at school and was given high praise for her singing, in ninth grade she began to feel more confident. It not only increased her confidence but her dreams changed. She graduated from New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. At the age of 23 years old, she launched her journey on Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, aged 23 her first film debut was You've got mail. The biggest achievement of her career was in the role of The Lady Of The Lake on Spamalot's first Broadway production. Not only did she get the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by critics. The following year, she was cast as Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. Known as a singer she has also released a single as well as an extended show. In addition, she's an activist who works hard for LGBT rights.
